Wait Time Conditions In Automation

In this article, we'll go over the best practice for automating the delivery of timely SMSes and emails.

You have the option to utilize Wait If/Else, and Goal actions to incorporate a specific time, date, or a combination of time and date as waiting conditions. These actions can be set up in the desired manner based on your specifications.


To utilize any of these options, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your automation tab and select the desired automation, or create a new one.

  2. Click on the plus sign within the automation to access the modal with menu options.

  3. Under Conditions and Workflow, click on the If/Else option.

  4. In the Select, a Condition dropdown, choose the Date & Time option.

  5. From here, select the date, time, or combination option that aligns with your specific requirement.

For Time

Wait until 5 PM means wait until 5 PM - 5:59 PM.

Contacts will meet this condition between 5:00:00PM and 5:59:59PM.

For Date and Time

To utilize multiple conditions, simply click on the "+Add another condition" option. This enables you to incorporate both date and time conditions within the same automation.

You may also set the date/time to a specific time zone rather than the contact's time zone.
